On this first Sunday of Advent, November 30th, 2025, Pastor Nate launches our new series, Witnesses to Wonder. He invites us to listen to two mothers—Hannah and Mary—who saw God’s Great Reversal first and sang it loudest in 1 Samuel 2 and Luke 1. They proclaim the same staggering truth: God shatters the mighty, lifts the lowly, fills the hungry, exalts the humble, and God’s mercy poured out. As we look at 1 Samuel 2:1–10 and Luke 1:46–55, we’ll see that at Christmas we are celebrating nothing less than God’s Great Cosmic Reversal breaking into our world in the person of Jesus Christ.
