As we celebrate the anniversary of services beginning at Oxford Street, Isaiah 61:1–11 reminds us that Jesus Christ is the Spirit-anointed Savior who comes to bind up the brokenhearted, bring beauty from ashes, and restore ruined sinners by His grace. As we celebrate one year in this building and witness baptisms, we are reminded that the outward restoration of this place is only a sign of the greater miracle: Christ restores ruined people and sends them out to rebuild what sin has broken.
